Is your daughter eavesdropping on you for a bedroom updates? Is she tired of her baby pink room? It doesn’t have to cost you a fortune to take her place from a cute little girl to a growing teenager. Help your daughter have a room so that is a true reflection of who she is and the two of you can have fun in the process.
The fastest and most cost-effective way to update this space is with color. That let your daughter choose a color she loves. Faux surfaces can be fun and give the room a certain dimension. If she wants something bolder than you are willing, then a simple compromise is to paint the bottom half of the room (chair rail height) in a way like fun strips, designs and colors and go with a more neutral effect for the upper half of the room.
Bedroom Updates Color
Color can also update immediately tired pieces of furniture. Take a chest of drawers, armoire sores, or a desk and make it a focal point. Take a piece and paint it a light color and then paint it. Change the handles or buttons for more drama.
New bed linen is another quick change. Firstly, buy a cheap bed in a bag and add your own creative twist. Secondly, hot glue or tape sew or beads to it. Thirdly, add fun fringes or feathers. Then, let your child’s inner artist flourish by using fabric paint to create a single work of art.
And finally, sometimes all you need is new accessories. A carpet, new lamps or lampshades can have a big impact. Throwing pillows, a funky bulletin board or new wall hangings can make your daughter feel that the room is really her own and they can enjoy theirs own q-time.
